ABOUT US

The Farmacy is a small town, farm to table cafe. We hold our standards high when it comes to quality of food and service. We take pride in the fact that most of our ingredients are from local and regional providers. From Allen County, we receive meat from Downing’s Cattle Company, cheeses from Kenny Farmhouse Cheese, and spices and breads from Habeggar’s Amish Market. We love giving back to the community as much as possible. Co-Owner and Head Chef, Jay Bandy, grew up in Scottsville himself. After attending ACSHS, he went to Bowling Green Technical Institute for Culinary. While he was working towards his degree, he worked at Mariah’s in Bowling Green for six years. He decided he needed a change of scenery and made his lifelong dream of moving to Florida, a reality. After moving to Englewood, Florida, Jay got a job on a little island called Boca Grande as a line cook. After working there for six months, Jay was promoted to Sous Chef, as he held the position for four years. Thats where he met Co-Owner and Manager, Madison Johnson, who was raised in Englewood. For the past four years, she has worked just about every job in the restaurant industry, from hostessing and serving to dishwashing and becoming a line cook. They had an original plan of moving to Scottsville and opening a food truck in the Nashville area, but when the Heart of Scottsville gave them the opportunity of opening up what was Carpenter Dent, they were hooked.  The incredible history this building has had is what gave them the idea for the name. To pay a little token to how the building was an active pharmacy and having the farm to table mindset, the name “The Farmacy” was created. We thank everybody who has helped along the way and we look forward to serving you the highest quality of food at a friendly price!
